Sitting

Sitting
with my second coffee
Reading
Mexico City Blues in the low, pale sun
Shining
golden vagina notes of wish and will in this mind
Cast
deep in some gut, visceral, wrenching want or
Desire
to understand this feeling that makes me shake just a
Little
like nervousness of thought on the purpose of
Existence
and why people travel through this slave state they call a
Life
that casts me between two great competing universes
One
the great spirit of us being me where healing is a choice and a connection, and the
Other
the deluded, mechanical, soulless, utilitarian world of what they call my
Education.

  1. Greg Hart says:

Thanks for these beautiful poems Chris.

Is there any “meet the candidates” meetings in CHB before the election? Paula Fern and I could organise something at the Otane Hall if you would like?

Let me know a date that suits and I will contact Anna Craig and I hear Steve Jenkins is standing for the Conservative party. Who is standing for the other parties?

    Best wishes

    Greg
